Team Captain Guide

Roster Management
Build and finalize your team squad.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Add Players: Enter details for at least 12 (max 20) players.
- 2Requirements: Each player needs either a FIDE ID or a Date of Birth.
- 3Finalize: Once your squad is ready, click Finalize Roster to lock it.
- Once finalized, you cannot add players without Secretary intervention.
Match Center
Strategic lineup submission for rounds.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Open the Match Center.
- 2Select exactly 5 players for the current round.
- 3Enter your team's jersey color for the match.
- 4Submit before the countdown timer hits zero.
- If your team is in arrears, you may be blocked from submitting depending on the season's clearance threshold. Look for the red or yellow banners above your form.
Transfers
Place bids and manage player acquisitions.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Place Bids: When the window is open, click Place Transfer Bid to search for players or Free Agents.
- 2Rank & Fee: Specify the board order rank they will hold, and the agreed transfer fee.
- 3Incoming Bids: If another team bids for your player, you must Approve or Reject it.
- Approved bids await final Secretary payment confirmation before the player moves.
League Secretary Guide

Seasons
The foundation of the league structure.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Go to Seasons in the admin sidebar.
- 2Enter the name (e.g. 2026), start date, and end date.
- 3Click Create to activate the season for registrations.
Leagues
Division management within a season.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Navigate to Leagues.
- 2Select the parent season from the dropdown.
- 3Assign a name (e.g. Premier League) and save.
Clubs & Teams
The central hub for organizational management.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Register Clubs: Use the registration form at the top of the page.
- 2Add Teams: Within a Club card, click Add Team to assign it to a league.
- 3Assign Captains: Find a team without a captain and click Assign to create their login.
- 4Edit/Manage: Hover over any item to see the pencil (edit) or gear (settings) icons.
Schedule
Match timing and submission deadlines.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Select the League and assign a Round name.
- 2Set the match start time.
- 3Deadlines: Use the "Set" button to customize when lineups lock for that round.
- 4Forfeits: Click the "Evaluate Forfeits" button after a deadline passes to automatically flag teams that missed submission.
Billing & Clearance
Manage team finances and lineup blocking.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Threshold Control: Adjust the Clearance Threshold (%) to control how much of their bill a team must pay to play.
- 2Mass Billing: Use the Mass Bill button to assign a fixed fee to every team in a season.
- 3Individual Ledgers: Click the edit icon on any team to manually adjust their Billed and Paid amounts.
- 4Exceptions: Click "Grant Override" to temporarily allow a team to play regardless of their financial arrears.
Transfers
Manage transfer windows and approve bids.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1Window Management: Open the transfer window to temporarily unlock all team rosters.
- 2Payment Confirmation: For pending bids, confirm that the required fee has been received.
- 3Finalize: Clicking Finalize automatically moves the player and adjusts ranks.
